I still believe 1 goal could transform him into the player he's capable of being. Needs to come this weekend v United. Confidence is massively important at top level sport and he looks his has totally gone.
Can't defend his lack of effort.but for me he's hiding from the ball cos he's so out of form

This type of distraction is totally wrong and should be a case for disciplinary action from the club for sheer lack of professionalism. Everton are his employer and are, therefore, his number 1 priority. It's a drain on every other player, and especially fans who have to endure the jibes of every other team's fans.
If you were a defender about to play against him, would you not feel as though would just 'own' him.
The expression about playing with 10 men is exactly because of his lack of care for the club, or anybody connected with the club. It's actually worse because the team THINK they have 11 players fighting for the cause.

Many moons ago, a player almost every Evertonian felt gratitude towards, went off his game. Injuries are one thing, but to appear to cease trying is an unforgivable crime. This player seemed to be more interested in being a DJ, and football almost seemed to be a side line. That player was Super Kev.
If fans can turn against such a popular player as he, I believe they will run DCL out of town. We don't need this crap he is doing, and certainly not now.

City wouldn't have to change the way they play mate.

Look at how City score the vast majority of their goals/create their chances. They're cut backs across the face of goal. It's been like that through Guardiola's entire stay there. There's so many times they do it and there's no striker out there. They did about 8 the other night in the first half alone.

You're falling into the trap that Benitez lulled everyone into and our fans bought into - that DCL needs high crosses into the area. He doesn't. They're so much harder to score from for one mate. He's a poacher who has very good positioning in that box. Which is why he'd work at City, and because he wouldn't need to start every game.

They'd actually have to change their type of play a lot more if they got Haaland than DCL, because Haaland is a player who thrives on the counter-attack , running into space.

DCL won't end up at City, he's more likely to wind up at Newcastle at this stage or Arsenal, obviously. But this idea that the service he needs is whipped crosses frustrates me so much. Because - and I'll go a bit statty here - the xG from a header 10 yards out is a lot less than the xG from chances like Burnley's scorers got yesterday.

I’m sorry but playing for City is way beyond his capabilities.

They create so many chances precisely because they don’t have some lumbering oaf up front. Every attacking player has superb technical ability, dribbling skills and movement. They all have tremendous work rate, dropping deep and pulling wide to create space for others.

Kane could fit because he’s a tremendous footballer. DCL, nowhere near.
