Has he lost weight, or muscle mass ?

Me and others where I sit all think he has, so not as physically dominant as he was (not that he ever really was)

Anyway hope he sorts out what ever the issue(s) are, and if he plays, hope he scores at least 10 for us before the end of the season.

I’ve heard he’s stopped doing work on his legs in the gym because he’s frightened about not fitting into his fishnets

Let's not forget he was up against a very out of sorts Harry Maguire yesterday too, and gave him the easiest afternoon he'll have had for a good while.

Sadly for us there is a real disparity in ability between premier league all time goalscorer Alan Shearer and Dominic Calvert-Lewin who I don't believe I've ever seen once turn a defender shoot and score.

See this was one of my issues with the photoshoots. Surround yourself with sycophants telling you how great and beautiful you are and you become obsessed with your own brand.

Seems to me that he thinks he can score a few tap ins and not have to bother with all the hard stuff.
Even his Instagram post yesterday saying the fans want to see him scoring goals. - The fans want to see him closing down defenders and the team winning matches, it’s about the team, not him.

Wish we could have the old DCL back but I cant stand players not giving their full effort to the cause, especially at the moment when its needed the most.

If that is his full effort then he's a passenger and need to be rested/dropped.

I dont like the reaching out on social media either mate, just get your head down and do your talking on the pitch and be a nuisance like we know you can be - thats it for me - its not about slotting every week, strikers go through lean patches and there is some mitigation there loosing the progressiveness of Jamo and Gylfi and what hey could do with service into the box - we get it. Though minimal we know he can occupy defenders, press from the front, im not seeing it at the moment.

Im not one to lash the lad for being a loon on his dressing etc, i dont care once he puts a shift in, but id suggest if your not and if you are fighting for a clubs life, you take a step back from posing in yellow submarine keks - its just respectful and being professional and supporting your priorities and conveying that. Its just being acclimatized to the tone.

We saw Richarlison g-ing fans up to come to the game and make it a bear pit over social media, Dom the complete opposite, doing magazine shoots,im begingng to think the time away injured was bad for him in the sense that he focused on commercial pursuits and has an eye and focus there - just get your head down and be a nuisance - we need you and press the life out of teams, dont go reaching out over twitteberg looking for understanding.

Seeing him break into a jog every now and then would be nice. Goals are the last thing I'm expecting from this bloke at this point. You can't score goals when you're deliberately hiding in a centre back's arse pocket.

2 levels below the very best last season?

He scored a few headers in the first half of season when the game plan was get to the line and swing a cross in.

After Jan, the goals dried up massively.

To say he could be world class with some effort is just pure delusion. The lad still can’t score a 1-on-1 at 25.

He's 25?!?! I keep thinking he's like 22/23.

A very poor game from him yesterday. Really hope it is just a case of him struggling with finding his feet post-injury rather than lack of effort because he was just so off it yesterday. Was probably kept on 10 mins too long.

DCL has always been a grafter, even before he started netting regularly, which is why yesterday was so bizarre to see. I'm personally of the belief we should give him the benefit of the doubt and hope that once he finds the net again that we'll see the DCL we have become used to over the last 2 seasons.

We cant afford him to take the pitch again.

I would question Lampard for offering him any further help to get form back.

We have to hand someone a bit more lively than Calvert-Lewin a chance.

It's a tricky one for Lampard. The guy has been a very good goalscorer for the last 2 years. We are in a relegation scrap and need goals. I can understand him giving him every chance.
