i think they'd have come sniffing late in the window tbh, they're getting high-balled by everybody in Europe they try to go for and Etikete pied them off for PSG.

I don't think they will do now.

I kind of saw that too.

There is a bit of frustration that way, that actually they are not making the signings they thought they could, as unsurprisingly they are still Newcastle and nobody decent wants to go there. In that context, a bit of a panicked bid for DCL could have happened. It wont now.

Dom might just be getting the early dart to the smoke to do a spot of shopping for some new gear prior to the seasons opener. Will want to look his best as it’s on Sly Sports.

No chance of a late bid imo as Everton couldn't accept any offer for DCL late in the window as u are already light on numbers upfront. If Toon are going to bid it will be early in order to give u guys time to replace him. The only alternative is if they could give u Chris Wood in part exchange, but I just can't see Everton falling for that sort of stupid transfer

Hearts, stars and horse shoes, clovers and blue moons
You'll become a bad guy when you wear the Davek Shoes
You'll put them on your feet, and then you won't know what to do..

When you wear them Dave K Shoes ?

Newcastle wont bid as hes injured mate.

But if they had come forward with a bid, we wouldnt have turned it down.

It's still far too early to know if he's going to have long term injury problems Tim. He had no specific or continual injury issues before his quad. It could be that the quad injury makes him more injury prone, or it might not.

But listening to the Oracle here telling us that DCL's career is over before it started and we should have got shut to anyone, because he has the insight of a consultant surgeon, I just wonder how he missed out on the opportunity to take the manager's role when the interviews were being handed out.

Thats all well and good mate - but since his quad injury he's had numerous flare ups and niggles to the same quad over the course of last season and it supposedly flared up again in pre season.

I think many of our fans are in the denial stage including the club by the looks of it.

Look at Gbamin to see what a bad quad injury can do to you. Nasty things they are - similiar to ruptured hamstrings you would rather a broken bone as an athlete.
