Nunez went off the back of scoring 48 goals in 85 games for Benfica, DCL has 58 in 6 years here. Even though I hear the Benny Hill music in my head every time I see Nunez play, he's still managed to bag 9 in 19 so far. Not bad going.Darwin Nunez who looks a complete donkey went for 80m...alright mate
Nunez went off the back of scoring 48 goals in 85 games for Benfica, Dominic Calvert-Lewin has 58 in 6 years here. Even though I hear the Benny Hill music in my head every time I see Nunez play, he's still managed to bag 9 in 19 so far. Not bad going.
I'd score 9 in 19 in that side mate the chances they create.
Just for confirmation, I'm not saying Dominic Calvert-Lewin is worth 60-70m currently. Pre injury he was understudy to Kane and slotting consistently.
No doubt in my mind had we sold him that summer, 60m would have been the asking price and I think that would have been met easily.
It’s based on whether he needed surgery or not. Luckily he didn’t so will hopefully be back soonHow can you go from potentially being out for 9 months to being potentially fit for the next game? Who is estimating these timescales and what are they using to calculate it? What are our medical team’s qualifications? I don’t think they have a clue what they’re doing.
For Christmas you get added to my ignore list.Hope Calvin gets a new fitness coach for Christmas, alongside a Braun electronic shaver and a Radley handbag x
Thank youFor Christmas you get added to my ignore list.
Why didn’t anyone bid for him?
Dcl played right back, right mid, made load of sub appearances. In those 6 years.Nunez went off the back of scoring 48 goals in 85 games for Benfica, Dominic Calvert-Lewin has 58 in 6 years here. Plus he’s played for Everton and that’s counts for a lot.Dominic Calvert-Lewin played right back, right mid, made load of sub appearances. In those 6 years.
The trouble with Dominic Calvert-Lewin is his ability to stay fit, not his goals per min ratio over the last 3 years

Might have scored 40 goals in that game though, then his record would be incredible!...Literally happened once.
And therein is the problem: FL talks so highly of him, praises his quality and says how fully behind him he is, it's basically making clear that he is automatic first choice and anyone else is just filling in when he's not available. Unless it's just lip service in the media (which I doubt) it was a major rookie mistake to put all the eggs in the DCL basket. A January replacement is absolute priority. We have to replace him. Not get a back up for him. Injuries to him has set us back enormously. We cannot afford to wait for him to possibly get fit again as that could be the nail in the coffin. My personal opinion of him will upset a few people but I have never really rated him and he is defo not a top player. We MUST look beyond him and try and build with Dominic Calvert-Lewin out of the thought process. Money is a problem but just forget about Dominic Calvert-Lewin or we may be well doomed. Let Dominic Calvert-Lewin have to fight to get into the team rather than wait upon him to get a dozen games of meh to get him back up to averageness
