The idea that Lewin is average is nonsense. He may not be the best at one on one shots with the keeper but other aspects of his game can be outstanding, such as heading, using strength to hold up the ball and pulling defenders out of position. He has shown he is capable of scoring a lot of goals. At one point he was nailed on to play for England. I don't think some of our fanbase realise just how difficult it is to get premiership quality strikers in your squad now. The cost is abnormal and unless you develop your own the decent ones go to the top teams.
He is undoubtedly more than good enough for us. Sadly, injuries look like a major fixture now. We had some who didn’t miss Lukaku, most won’t miss Dom, you bet you arse clubs around us wish they had a striker than terrifies defences like he does.

I don’t think he terrifies anyone. They are probably glad they aren’t playing against a Callum Wilson or an Ivan Toney - let alone the top bracket of strikers.
Nah, that’s just shorterism. He’s tall, fast and strong. Defenders hate playing against him. We’ve seen him almost get a load sent off because of what he does. @Eggs knows

See I actually agree he’d be useful for us, but not for his goals, for the way he the ball sticks to him. The price though? No shot. We just need a target man. We’ve looked lost ever since we moved away from it. Look how much Kiefer Moore terrorised us ffs! Modern defenders have no idea what to do with a target man.
