He needs to do more than stand still and wait for crosses to come in I’m afraid. He’s not been good enough for ages when he’s managed to drag himself onto the pitch.

At his most primitive he's a target man. I think he's pretty adept at that but you can't just hoof it into an area and hope that he's gonna manifest a goalscoring chance from it.

A target man is used to bring others into the game. He can't do that if they aren't coached or willing to do exactly that.

And our delivery from wide areas is atrocious. Coleman, Mykolenko, Gray and Gordon are all poor crossers of a ball. Therefore he has to make his own chances like Brentford (?) at home.

I didn't no, but then when someone put names of players who 1) no longer even play in this league and 2) aren't the starting striker, I changed it to clearly say starting striker.

Well I think he's better than Danny Welbeck, better than Ollie Watkins, better than Jordan Ayew, better than Bamford, better than Solanke, better than Che Adams. Need more?
