You hear boxers, mma guys saying they never go into a fight 100%.... Rugby players, American footballers all playing injured and yet he has a scan that reports no issues and he can't train. Blokes a joke.

Not being a medic or working with lad on a a day to day basis I haven't got clue what's going on with him.
But could it simply have come down to a mental thing as well now.
Where you have become so worried about previous injuries that just little niggles are so much worse then they actually are.

It feels like half the time it's not a club/medic diagnosis but the player saying he's felt a twinge.
And obviously then you get the manager speech on not being able to risk him.

Maybe he's just spent to much time with Mina...

Louis Saha was the same, lost faith in his own body so every pain was worst case scenario. I remember Saha trying to change his game completely and stopped running at all incase he injured something.

This period of Saha is all I remember whenever anyone tries to tell me how boss he was. One of the most frustrating players I’ve ever seen.

Well at least he’s better than Maupay at something

I'd honestly stick Micheal Keane up top, tell him to make a real nuisance of himself and compete for everything.

Maupay can't play up top on his own, that we've seen for ourselves. Maybe Simms has shown enough to Dyche to say he should be given a run but without DCL and a proper focal point it really does make the set up so much more difficult for Dyche.

Such a shame we didn't have any time to bring someone in and we sent Dele back to Spurs from his loan spell and he then went to Besiktas.
