2022/23 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

That is exactly the point if he is not fit ad playing a whole game before season end then surely his playing is finished.

And I do not mean one game, needs say at least half a dozen under his belt.

We have to sort out replacement strikers either signed or home grown.
Regardless of whether he plays a handful of games again this season we need to end this mess by signing two reliable forwards. It was a scandal that we didn't do so in January.

We cant be faced with having the prospect of looking to Calvert-Lewin for an attacking option any longer. There's no club in this league who'd be planning that way. Get shut of him in the summer if there's any type of bid for him...although what club would be mad enough to employ him I dont know.

The scandal was August really. So bizarre we took the time and money to buy a reasonable, mid table defence and midfield but ended two windows with a midtable of the Championship (at best) attack.

It's a difficult situation, better off the books but I'd imagine there would be takers for a loan only.

We do indeed have to sign two forwards, and if that happens I think they'll keep him around as some never-never option.

Lampard froze when Calvert-Lewin broke down in training again.

He was completely naïve concerning him and his fragilities. Any fan could have told him he is completely unreliable and we needed cash spent on two emergency strikers. He got Maupay alone in - which was utter madness.

Unfortunately the man who made that decision is still at the football club.

That would prove nothing much to me.

He played half a dozen games in last season's run in to little effect, then he and has body clocked off again this season.

We need to draw a line through his name and forget him. In this relegation fight he's an unwanted distraction.

In the summer we need to be easing him out the door and getting our new attacking options in.

Duncan Ferguson seems to be a distant memory - he was always injured and yet we kept him on for the odd game for years.
Not for me, that's the Ferguson I remember. And when he was fit, the "can't be arsed" version turned up a lot more than the "bleed for the club" version. Still, I'm sure yet another mural displaying his willingness to die for the cause, is being painted as I type.

But Dave, giving the ball to your striker in positions where he is likely to score is kinda the point of having a striker to begin with. All youre saying is Dominic Calvert-Lewin is really good at scoring goals when getting the right service, no?
No, he should grab the ball and dribble through all players twice before nutmegging the keeper 4 times and scoring.

Every single attack btw.

If we had Roberto Martinez it'd be the case.

Wot is all this football talk for? We have left the important matter of skirts and erections. Seriously, everyone seems on board with the belief that we cannot rely on Dom for regular appearances and before next season starts we have to buy a new striker group. He might be a part of it, but who can predict? I am certain he would like to get properly fit and medical "experts" must be trying everything to sort him out. When does his contract expire?

I hope a certain Evertonian does not read this but here we go. The seat next to me is occupied by anyone of a group of about 15 Evertonians who travel a long long way at great expense to watch the Blues. This particular guy is about 6ft2, built like a brick shithouse and could wipe me out with one hand. He wears jeans with big rips and holes in them like girls do as a fashion statement. The difference is he has huge hairy legs and one big hairy knee sticks out
Do you get the picture?👀

Has he ever touched your hand? It sounds like a romantic novel and i cant wait for the next page....

Will you offer to shave his knees at half time?

If we won would that become a regular occurance?

Gripping stuff.

If is hard to imagine I know. But he is big enough to wipe out anyone who upset him.

Incredibly erotic.

What happens if you get an erection in a skirt? Answer nobody would notice.
1980s is more accurate 😔

My lord...what happens next :o

Hope Dominic Calvert-Lewin comes back as I think he's a great player (with limitations) - but of course we can't rely on him.

Needs to be considered as a bench player from the summer onwards. Impact player and used sparingly.
