2022/23 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I think the clubs messaging has been poor. It was initially that he had only been subbed against Arsenal as a precaution.

He needs to take as long as he needs but the club need to manage expectations properly as well, especially since we are so desperate for points and positive news.
Oh, I agree. I'm merely suggesting that the more recent 'no timeframe' comment could be a result of a changing situation based on new information.

It's not ideal, however I think the club have probably, in all good faith, gave a timeframe they believed to be correct, and for whatever reason it's not changed.

Whether the original timeframe was ever a sensible prediction is another question, entirely.

Always up for the fight is our Dom.

Would run through a brick wall for this club.
It's more than reasonable that the only thing stopping him playing is his injury problems. There is no evidence, or even rumours, of poor lifestyle choices. Why then, do people like you, resort to questioning his mental state or commitment to the club? It's really odd.

DCL obviously isn’t the problem. He’s just an individual looking after his own interests, like we all do. He won’t put himself on the line but who does these days.

It’s the board who haven’t replaced him or brought in more options who are the problem, as we all know.

.
Never so anxious of depressed it stops him from going out modeling or galavanting around in his flamboyant clothes. Mental health issues gimme a break. Try working a normal job for a normal wage lad.
What a truly pathetic post.

This site is amazing for mental health support, yet there’s still posters coming on and making such judgemental and ignorant comments.

It's true that you never know what's going on behind closed doors in a player's life, no matter how desirable their circumstances appear to be.

Years ago, Fabio Quaglarella's career was almost destroyed by an obsessed stalker.

If that happened to be the case with Calvert-Lewin, there'd be a few top suspects on here.

What is his situation exactly? Usually a injury with a player is stated, such as calf, hamstring etc but with this lad it’s not made clear what it is.
