He's back.
Yeah, you'd have to say 'we win that game if Calvert-Lewin is playing' has been claimed an awful lot about a bloke who has scored 5 non penalty goals in the last 2 years. The problem with him being out for so long is that the anticipation for his return builds and builds to the point where people are expecting Zlatan 2011 when he comes back and him to transform our team single handedly. Then when he comes back and is just the average striker he’s always been, it causes more angst. And no, before anyone starts, this isn’t his fault.
Let me you welcome into my mindAmazing that there’s a place even crazier than this.
Reading between the lines I got the impression they thought Patterson was lacking in general fitness rather than just recovering from injury. I saw a few references to him having 'gained some muscle' while he was out which I think was a polite way of saying he wasn't in top shape. I think with Calvert-Lewin it's more about whether he's sufficiently recovered from injury - if he has then I think even a rusty version is better than what they have and so he's much more likely to be used without building up sharpness.Dyche cba answering questions on it. We”ll see last week, he’s around it this week!! Garner and Patterson have had to play 2 under 21 games to get their sharpness as dyche put it. There’s no way Dominic Calvert-Lewin doesn’t have to do something similar. Spurs at best
Dyche didn't say that, or did I miss something? Will be in the squad for Saturday. Good news
