Not really but anyone working in high profile, highly paid positions is always going to be under more scrutiny.

If he really can't cope with the pressures of being a footballer he could just retire and save himself all the stress.

Personally I don't believe it is due to anything like that. Wasn't that just based on a twitter rumour?

Saying someone has personal issues isn't broadcasting anything really as it's a vague description.

He is under more scrutiny but that doesn't mean they have to be anymore transparent with it than if he worked in ASDA.

The bold part, you're just making weird assumptions there.

And no, it wasn't all a Twitter rumour. He did an interview.

Pretty sure he grabbed his hamstring not his self-esteem just before the corner against Arsenal. He is injured.

That said, being injured, nearly fit, then injured for as long as he has and seeing his club and International career set back miles in 18 months I’m sure it will have weighed very heavily on him mentally. And I have a lot of sympathy not cynicism for that. His wealth does not make that any of my business, so I’ll see him when I see him. And possibly boo him if appropriate.

If the PM just stopped showing up for stuff you think it'd be ok if the public were given no explaination for it, as it was due to stress?

I never saw the interview but I find it hard to imagine he said he had missed matches due to depression.

Stating he suffers from depression doesn't mean it's related to his fitness issues.

But we've had an explanation? Dyche tells us he's injured then tells us he's back training lol more do you want.

Personally I dont think his mental health issues are an issue, regards him getting on the pitch.

Hes had niggling injuries for over 2 years now, I think the lack of information is due to us saying in the past he would play, then not playing.

We have to be careful with him, from a playing POV and a media POV.

Baffled why he gets all the focus and the likes of Yerry Mina escape it all, despite Mina earning twice his weekly wage.

If Mina's replacement had been Maupay I'm sure he'd have got as much focus. lol

If we had to put up with Holgate and godfrey at centre back I think Yerry would. Yerry is being forgotten about due to tarkowski, coady and Keane all being ahead of him now. Not saying that’s right but DCL will always be vilified as his replacements are are utter jokes or children.

Fair enough, I did think this once I posted that.

However it’s not DCLs fault that his replacements are dopes lol. Plus he does get abit of personal abuse where Mina just gets the sick note shouts. He’s some sort of cult hero to a certain section of blues due to a few half decent performances.

This is a wildly ignorant viewpoint to have when we’re speculating about someone’s mental health. Bearing in mind, “mental health” covers a massive number of illnesses.

Should everybody just give up on their profession when they experience mental health problems?

All this is just speculation too. He wouldn’t be the first player to suffer a horrendous run of injuries.
