True, that can happen to anyone though. I'm sure the three players you mentioned above have all missed sitters in their time.

Think his problem has always been his finishing (minus a purple patch under Carlo) which for a lone CF isn't great.

His biggest strength is his hold up play / flick ons.

A better team with him in it but long term we need someone who can put chances away in addition to the hold up.

Aside from the open goal miss that was a classic CF away from home performance.

Ball was played up to him early and it stuck and plenty was created from his flicks and control.

Despite all the stick he gets the build up of moves is night and day with DCL as CF compared to a traffic cone like Maupay.

Also amazed he's getting through these games without being subbed despite being out for months.

Got another big goal in this run in for sure.

He took his pen well and O’Neil should of played him in second half instead of attempting a shot. Also he’s too isolated at times, why are our attacking players so far apart from each other most of the time, there’s a real lack of understanding or potency in our play. We take a age sometimes to switch the play or play the right pass. I can sympathise with him on occasion because he’s isolated and outnumbered.

He has to take that tap in, he has to take that chance. He barely hit it too, like his feet are back to front or something.

I’m not a big fan of his but he’s not helped by our set up or aimless long balls .

Between his sitter and Maddison's pen, I decided it wasn't worth getting worked up about this match because it appears to be fixed.

He's never been a goal-scorer outside of the season where there were no fans, but he's good at what he does and I'm pleased to see him back.

If we have even the slightest chance of staying in this league, slim at best now, He will be vital to that! Which is somewhat ironic!

Ex Gunner, Kieron Gibbs was asked on ESPN how Arsenal could strengthen enough to challenge again next season.
He said to sign new strikers Ivan Toney and/ or Calvert Lewin, who'd be cheaper if Everton went down.

I don't see why we'd have to sell DCL if we do go down. He'd murder Championship defences if he stayed fit for a reasonable number of games.

I know relegated clubs are expected to lose top players, but I don't see why if they still have time on their contract which doesn't have a relegation clause, and I believe our players don't.
Costs. Also, you should never keep a player who wants to leave. It's causes disruption and rarely works out well. I have no idea if he wants out but having someone on £5m+ a year would be problematic with our finances if we went down.

You mean the season when we had Digne, James and Sigurdsson all putting things on a plate for him?

It's mad that strikers are better when they have quality around them...
