2022/23 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

That’s the best I’ve seen him for 2years, shades of how he played under Silva in the 2nd half of his 1st season. Linking well making chances and running the channels. The tap in would have been the icing on the cake. I think he could keep us up if he could maintain that for the rest of the season

Not to jinx it but, one praise for Dyche I will have is that he has managed his rehabilitation properly for once. Previous regimes are to blame for his injury troubles, not the player himself.

Hes looked sharp since he's come back and is doing everything I expect Dom to do. He's a 60m forward when he's like this. Hopefully it lasts.
60million?? Seriously.

He played with Digne and Sigurdsson for years.

If you want to pretend that he's always been as cool in front of goal as he was with no fans in the stadium, that's up to you. His strike rate doesn't lie.
He played a completely different role before that period. DCL has to be used as a box striker, but we don't have the squad to allow him that position at the mo, so he's gone back too the target man whilst covering, here, there and everywhere, like when he first came into the team.

Whether you love him or not, we look a completely different team when he's on the field. if we'd had him even just since christmas, we wouldn't be looking at championship nxt season.

I have had a few setbacks along the road, but I continue to believe that it is not going to last forever and I will at some point be back on the pitch helping my team-mates. You have seen in the past three games I have got better and better, gaining match sharpness and confidence on the pitch. I back myself to make a big impact for the team. [Being out injured] is hard to deal with as what you don’t see is the work that you put in and how much it means to me personally to play for Everton and help them stay in the Premier League. I live and breathe what I do,” says Dominic Calvert-Lewin. [BBC]

I've seen Cucurella go for that much.

Antony cost 100m.

Why is 60m for a player with his skillset and playing regularly mad?

Obviously I don't think he's currently worth this, but thats due to injuries. Not the quality of the footballer.
I hope, he proves me and his doubters wrong for Everton and his sake if nothing else, i just personally don't see a 60m player in him.

He looks fit and strong, lacking in match play, obviously, and we do play better and are better equipped with him in the side but never a 60m player.

If we can get 20-30m would bite someone's hand off,

You have just listed two players who the respective clubs massively overpaid for.

Newcastle just signed isak for about 60m who's younger, fitter and looks far superior in every way imaginable.

A fit dcl is a handful and a half decent premier striker but 60m ffs, he hasn't hadn't been any good for 2 and a half years.

We shouldn't be selling him. What we should be doing is selling off some of the dross and buying a couple.of players who can actually give him some service.
