DCL only cos £2m so whatever we get for him is a bonus.

He was never worth the ridiculous valuations posted in here. He's had one good goalscoring season.

I think a year in the Championship would do him the world of good. But i think Newcastle buy him for £30m or maybe a newly promoted team. He isnt top 8 level.

Says he isn't top 8 level exactly 8 words after saying that the current 3rd place team would probably buy him.

This is why we can't have nice things.

Feel sorry for Dom. Had a great season under Ancelotti and looked liked he was finally maturing into the forward we hoped for and broke into the England squad. Ever since he's barely played football through injury and potential MH reasons.

The point tally when he’s been on the pitch doesn’t suggest this at all actually.
You can't really look at stats of when he's played over the last 2 seasons, when he's been injured for 90% of it.

Just looking at us against Leicester shows the difference with having him playing versus not playing.
We actually looked like we believed we could win a game, his presence brings more belief/positivity to the team.

Still adapting from his injury, hes been out for basically an entire season yeah he missed a sitter but even quality strikers experience that , I think if he continues to stay fit and the right people are on the pitch to feed him the ball like garner, McNeil or patterson the goals will resume. He has been looking more vibrant every game and once again it's on the club not him for being inept and incapable of providing a legitimate striker alternative when it was clear his fitness was not sound.

He played a completely different role before that period. DCL has to be used as a box striker, but we don't have the squad to allow him that position at the mo, so he's gone back too the target man whilst covering, here, there and everywhere, like when he first came into the team.
I don't understand why he'd be better utilised as a penalty box striker when his physicality and hold-up play are streets ahead of his finishing?

He's been a real handful since coming back, especially against Leicester. Similar to Iwobi, he needs to be put in positions where he can put himself about, otherwise he's relying too much on his limited ability on the ball.

How can you say Newcastle will buy him and then say he isn’t a top 8 player lol they’re literally 3rd and both of their current strikers are better than him.

Think 30m is optimistic after what he’s been through- I’m not sure anyone will pay enough for him after basically two years injured to make it worth our while. If we do go down we will need a lot of goals to make it out of the championship and for the sake of what we might get from selling it might be worth holding on and hoping he can stay fit and be our Mitrovic.
