He started the game pretty well, but then his body let him down again. I feel sorry for him, and not sure what's next for him.

But it goes back to recruitment. We should have replaced him last summer. And Thelwell and to a lesser degree Lampard are responsible for not doing so. Lampard kept saying he was the team's no.9. He should have demanded a new striker and not allowed the recruitment team to build the side round a player with fitness issues.
 

I'm just sick of him at this point tbh. Its obviously not all his fault, he clearly doesn't want to keep getting injured but it doesn't make him any less useless. He can't ever be counted on. We really missed a trick when we turned down Arsenal trying to buy him. He would've done ok there as a luxury sub. He's done realistically after us now. Nobody half decent or even mediocre is taking a chance on him unless he slashes his wage demands.
 
Prepare the team without him for next Sunday.

Let him get treatment and see how he feels next weekend. If he is feeling ok and wants to play, then put him on the bench and take it from there.
