I don't think CA will be at Real himself never mind trying to sign DCL.
However, DCL did wonderfully well under Carlo and I would guess there will be plenty of managers prepared to take a risk at a moderate fee for Calvert -Lewin.
If he was managed carefully and not flogged to death in every single game his injury problems may lessen.
When fit he is a seriously good player and just now reaching his peak.
I think he’s already peaked and his best football is behind him in terms of consistency at least, as for being flogged to death I get what you’re saying but you’re either fit to play or you’re not I’m sure dyche will of been told how many minutes of football he would be able to play with in each game by the medical staff. I said it last year and I will say it again I don’t think he’s capable of 15 consecutive games without being out injured it’s time to move on surely.

Ive got nothing against him. He will be kept simply because we cant afford a top replacement. Hopefully he can get and stay fit and score some much needed goals.

Spending the week in some facility in Germany? Strange footage him running and jumping around with resistance bands etc and being shoved off balance by an instructor so soon after being absent from the squad altogether. Clearly the “trying everything” continues.

We are going to bank on his resurrection aren’t we.

Fair play to him, im sure he could be on holiday somewhere.

Two strikers in this summer needs to be done. Dom now needs to be utilized by Dyche the way that Moyes used to use Anichebe back in the day. Last 15mins, defenders are tired, try to grab a goal. He isn't fit to play 90mins regularly anymore

How was he flogged to death though?

He was training for months before dyche brought him back into the team, no one was even sure what was wrong him with him..he come back and looked sharp for what 3 games and then broke down again.

His fitness has nothing to do with the club it's down DCLs body and his determination.

Sorry is playing 5 games of football “flogged to death” nowadays?

Fair play to the lad. He could be round the bend in Ibiza or Mykonos like most of them, but he’s started his summer trying his best to get himself sorted.

Fingers crossed his legs hold up.

Still need a new starting CF though, as history dictates they won’t.

Hopefully a good preseason, and not having the physical pressure of being the main striker will allow him to feature more next season.
Probably the best we can hope for... Still if offer of 10s of millions comes in I'd be torn at this point. Despite being a big admirer of his footballing talents and fashion.

As soon as DCL was declared fit he was played in every game until he got injured again and even in his first games back he was left on the pitch longer than was planned.

If after a couple of games he could have been rested for a week and then reintroduced then over time he would gradually build up his ability to play more football. We just could not afford to do that unfortunately.

Only time will tell when DCL reaches his peak but what is completely beyond dispute is that we were a totally different team when he was playing. His absence hurt us enormously through the season.

I don't agree, we were not able to manage his game time because of the position we were in.
