I hark back to the days of Duncan Ferguson, a perennially injured player, true in a different era of football but in the end, IIRC they sent him to a Specialist in the US and I'm nots sure it ever actually resulted in a better outcome(may need some help on this from those stattos in here)I could be completely wrong, but under Ancellotti, day to day trying was very much light (ball work) in comparison to Dyche and under Lampard and Benetiz he was almost forced back before he could recover.
Im not convinced DCL can cope with the physical day to day responsibilities of being a top pro, with the demands this squad is expected to produce daily . Unless he gets specialised training I think he'd be better at a club where he's under less stress physically and can just turn up and play on a match day. He will have a better career that way. Where that is I don't know.
We, as a a club always do right by our players and god knows we have a good few cases over the years even way back, the fear has to be that physically it will never be fixed and therefore we do need to move on a and replace and all being well he comes back as a back-Up until such time as he proves he has it or he moves on.
We cant afford another season of will he wont he, or as we say in my work a Daisy, Some daisy's in, some Daisy isnt!
Wish him well whatever happens but we dont have the luxury of hope.
