Although I agree with the general point, I would say we definitely need wingers before we even look at bringing in another striker!

We scored 3 today because our main striker took his head out of his arse for once and decided to turn up. The wings were just fine.

He wont do that consistently so we have to get another goal scorer from somewhere.

He's streaky. So was Lukaku. Most strikers are. Even prime Messi had stinkers. It's what makes Haaland's current run so remarkable.

So when he doesn’t turn up we don’t score - which implies we need goals from elsewhere in the team, namely, our wingers?

I would rather have 3 front men who can all score 10 goals than one striker that might get 30

1 goal after 2 starts - 0.5 rate of goals per game if he can it up is an excellent rate with Messi having 0.75

Lukaku consistently scored for us. His numbers are fantastic.
