Actually, I don't think DCL is at the level of top No. 9. But DCL is probably that type of player who understands his weakness, trains very hard and in repetition.

Every season I watch him, he would improve some part of his game. It went a bit underrated - since he came back. I saw that his first touch & holdup play has improved. Today, his touch fooled their CB which gave him a 1v1 against their GK. DCL doesn't score many 1v1 but I'm glad he did.

….rarely see him being ‘nice’ with opposition CB, rarely see him picking one up off the floor or slapping on the back. He’s occupying the CBs, he’s going to war with them, he’s Mr Nasty.

Its not that hard to understand mate, infact it makes perfect sense if you read the two sentences that you did not put in bold?

Buying just a pure "goalscorer" would be folly because we do not create nearly enough chances.

Nice to see his bullying tactics work. Give their defenders a torrid time all afternoon and took his goal surprisingly well. We see this level of performance all to infrequently though

If he has got through these 2 consecutive starts then that will be good signs. If he continues to play like yesterday then he will get goals.
