I now understand the view that the issue isn't just physical.

Full training and not on the bench for Fulham is bewildering.

To be fair I said ages ago that it wouldn't surprise me if he was just being wrapped in cotton wool for the last 5 games. At one point I assumed that he'd be brought back into the fold following the Brentford game but when that didn't happen I resigned myself to the fact that he wouldn't be available until the run-in..

And there's no guarantee that he'll score enough goals to get us enough points, or even any goals if he does play.

I'd risk him now. Tell him to just stay onside and hang around the penalty area. No sprinting up and down defending corners.

I’m not convinced it’s as simple as that. We lose that and the other teams around us get a massive confidence boost going into their games. All subjective of course.

The situation would’ve still been the same for both of them, particularly Burnley who needed to win their game regardless.
