He's just not quite right ATM is he, confidence has gone, wonder if he's struggling off the pitch somewhat again? On his day he's an absolute nightmare for other teams to deal with, hope he can get back on track sharpish

Hasn't he recently become a father? I'm sure I read something about that. Anyway, the fact remains he was painfully close to scoring v Burnley but Trafford denied him at almost point blank range. Not all of his recent performances have been bad.

Think he's been playing well enough, just the goals aren't happening for him.

Probably putting pressure on himself as well, which doesn't always help. Hopefully Dyche sits him down and helps him work it through.

If Dyche rewards this feller for not scoring in the last 9 games and leaves a striker who's scored 2 in his last hour of football on the bench you know he's not making decisions consistently on form.
Against Spurs he'll pick the striker he thinks works well in a primarily defensive set up and can hold the ball up and bring others into play when we do get the ball. I suspect that will be DCL

He has been sound until last night where he had a poor game against a very good centre back (in my opinion).

It will be fine, we have a decent enough alternative to call upon if he is struggling like other normal clubs do.

He had a good calendar year of goalscoring. The year starting from Carlo coming in (and the vast majority of those goals were 5 yards out or less).

The truth is before that run and since, his record is very very mediocre. He’s not a great finisher and doesn’t have elite movement or technical ability. He does add something to the team, but unfortunately it’s not goals.

It sounds strange to say he gets no service when we apparently have the highest proportion of set piece goals.
And were one of the best in the league for xG apparently so we must create

Before last night I’d say his all round game has been vital to us though but last night he looked knackered
He’s played a lot of games compared to the last couple of years which is great but if he’s not getting goals I think Beto has earned the right to start a game given his recent contributions

I don't know but if he has it will definitely take its toll! I don't think he's been terrible, just nothing coming off for him, something is off slightly for me

In all honesty it was 6 months under ancelotti. His reputation before that was non existent. Wasnt in with a sniff of England.
I think most people accept now its more what he brings as a package to the team. Few more goals would be nice. But given the restrictions we currently live under from the delicious PL he's still vital to the set up.
Some go way over the top about him. Some go completely the other way.
Somwhere in the middle is where he is.
