27 in a couple of months and averages a goal every 4 games in the premier league, which isn’t top level , mid table obscurity is his level

Will let you know if hes ever given a good chance to finish.
He's had LOADS of chances to finish but hasn't. Yesterday against City which is his bread and butter: "don't think just get ball in net". He's been wide open for headers and just ballesed all of them up. Hes NOT a good finisher. Take out that little streak with Carlo and I'd be surprised if he's a 1 in 5 striker. CBA doing maths as Im crap at it.

Talented all round striker that will always get and create goals.

Good finisher and always has been.

Rightly hyped by our fans who actually understand football and is generally only criticised by INCELs and kopites.

I can see many teams in the PL that he would clearly start for week in week out.
I’ll take a pint of whatever you’re drinking.

A goal every 3.9 games.

He's not good enough to be a 15-20 goal a season striker, that is beyond any doubt and that's if he remains fit, which is also a big if.

Zero doubt about his work rate, his application, or indeed his general hold up play. But he is simply not a natural finisher, hasn't been for years and I don't see why that will change anytime soon.

Unfortunately however we are in no position in a club, currently, to be actively wanting to move him on. He seems to be a confidence player so just hope we can get another run from him asap.
Sorry lien, have to take you to task on that. His work rate is massively less than the general level within the team, his hold-up play is weak at best and his application is somewhat half-hearted. Really not sure what games you’re watching to be honest, certainly different to what I see week in week out.

Exactly. They're 50-70 mil players now. Look how much Beto is going to cost us. And then you have to convince a player of that quality to actually want to sign for us. Hopefully we've scouted well and Chermiti turns into that player, it's very early days there.

He's on 3 league goals though, so on average that'll be about 6/7 goals this season. At the very very least you expect your starting striker to get at about 12 goals over the course of the season.

He's not good enough, a goal in the next game won't change that, because he's just as likely to go on another 10 game goaless run because he can't finish.

Beto all day for me for now

Beto definitely deserves more of a chance. Absolutely should not be considered as a back up. As far as I'm concerned they're 2 equal options, and Beto deserves the game time DCL has had recently to stake his claim.

Reality is watching him in the flesh as opposed to rating him on the back of comments on here. He’s simply not good enough. To suggest otherwise is madness. He’s had one mildly decent season. Nobody else wants him as a first choice number 9. Which bit of that evades you?
Yep, we have been boss whilst he has been injured and terrible whilst he has been fit. Thanks for making it clear la.

The ball simply does not stick with Beto enough for him to replace DCL.

We need DCL up top still to bring others like Doucoure and McNeil into play and to stop the ball coming straight back at us constantly against strong teams like City.

You need a striker that can do the part of the game to relieve pressure by getting the team up the pitch and winning free kicks putting his body between the ball and the defender.

Yes he needs to score more goals. But he's still the best all-round player we have upfront at the moment for the game we play
