I think we're punching above our weight with a run of results galvanised by the points deduction. It may well keep us up. Let's have it right though there's a lot of very average footballers in our thin squad.

True, but the bottom 10 is littered with very average squads with a few good players in each, same with us.

Not denying that at all? My point is that we aren't in a position to get better than DCL unless we unearth a gem. We've been relegation battlers for a few seasons now, but I think some fans go shopping for new players like we're looking for Europe. They're not coming here.

He's had LOADS of chances to finish but hasn't. Yesterday against City which is his bread and butter: "don't think just get ball in net". He's been wide open for headers and just ballesed all of them up. Hes NOT a good finisher. Take out that little streak with Carlo and I'd be surprised if he's a 1 in 5 striker. CBA doing maths as Im crap at it.

The chances he's blown in recent months have been absolutely mad. Free headers straight at the keeper or over, through balls where he's 1:1 into the keeper, that effort last night. Something's gotta give because we're not going to score enough to stay up without him getting another 5+ goals minimum. We were 7 clear of relegation about 10 days ago, now we're in the bottom three if Luton win their game in hand.

Exactly. They're 50-70 mil players now. Look how much Beto is going to cost us. And then you have to convince a player of that quality to actually want to sign for us. Hopefully we've scouted well and Chermiti turns into that player, it's very early days there.
