Cahill is idolised and rightly so, DCL has more goals in less games and is vilified.He played more in the middle for us than DCL haslol, and got through more work mate. He did admittedly get the nod to be our striker when we had nobody else though, and grabbed the chance.

8 in 44 mate and out of that a lot were as sub. He did a lot more than score goals too in his brief spell here, hence why he's still massively well thought of.
66 games for us and he was useful but not really sure he helped the point you were making.

He must despair at the chanting of Beto's name. DCL - holds up the ball up, good in the air, Beto- falls over a lot.
8 seasons mate...equal. Injuries are part and parcel of what makes players worth their salt. Injury prone strikers are excusable if the perform when fit.

Bent was fantastic for the team. He played the lone striker role as good as anyone. He never stopped working defenders and pulling them out of position. Played in a better team but bent was a great signing.

Decent player fitted the team and role, but Calvert - Lewin is a far superior player.
I was being slightly tongue in cheek with Bent but he did hit the ground running. I should really have used Campbell as a help for my point lol

Yeah it seems petty, but I was honestly curious.
We have had loads of Strikers who we used to love SuperKev, AJ, Bent, Cahill, Felli, Yak, Big Rom, but im not sure if any of them had the level of abuse that Dom gets.
I understand atm, hes on a pretty huge drought and he has had chances to score, but as I say, the level of abuse he gets on here and at Goodison, it really grinds me down.
So yeah, I really should let it go.
