I actually thought he looked like a professional footballer last night, which is more than I could say about some.

He is a poor finisher though, always has been. His purple patch of 1 yard tap ins somehow fooled some people into thinking otherwise

I thought it was one of his best all round games for a while yesterday he looked fit and energetic but he can't keep passing up chances to score like he is.

We did lump it 60 yards to him under Carlo though. Where’s this idea come from that we played free flowing football under Carlo?

He had that amazing start to the season but then only scored about 3 more goals for the rest of the season people always seem to forget that bit.

4 in 20 in the second half of that season. Remarkably similar to his record this season, and every season since fans have returned to stadiums. Mad isn’t it, that the purple patch is apparently the norm and everything either side of it is the blip.

Carlo had it right.

Stop lumping it 60 yards to him. Stop having him come deep or run the channels.

Keep him on the front foot, central, and in or near their box. He's useless everywhere else and we need him there because there's noone else.

Had enough to be honest no more excuses. Reading of the game is terrible.Reckon he is hiding myself... Jump's for headers that even at ten foot would struggle to connect, course takes him out any phase of play for a while if something does occur..And if by chance he does connect it's awful.

The thing we all knew but the board failed to deliver was that we needed the foil to benefit from Doms game. A player to get in around/behind the defence and bury these flick ons that Dom delivers. Assuming he's off in the summer if he gets a team and manager that works to this they'll do well.

Joey, I don’t know how much other football you watch, but I’m going to assume it’s not a lot because other strikers in this league don’t get 8 chances per game you know.

Nines maybe 1/2 a dozen Nunes does plus Jota plus average sides Rhico missed a sitter for Spurs , but scores because those teams don't go out and play caveman football - yes DCL should have scored more goals this season, but to pin the blame on any striker with the hoof balll we play is rediculous - that first half was as bad as I have seen in blue v a poor side in all my life it was disgusting no midfield- Pickford our main outlet.....

If it was DCL why did Beto not contribute when he came on .....?

Yeh he does contribute in other areas, but his aim objective is to finish his chances, which he isn't doing. I think as someone else has mentioned, maybe move him up the pitch, tell him to linger in and around the oppositions box and concentrate on taking this chances, or give someone else a decent go at it. Genuinely can't be any worse than it is now

The only teams that play “big fella flicking it on to little fella” football in the year 2024 are semi pros in the Pitching In Northern Premier League so best of luck with the move Dom.

You have to earn the right to play in “the Arsenal set up “ by being good enough for them to want to sign you .

Why would a team with aspirations of winning the league want a striker that can only score sitters from 3 yards out ?

The both headers he went for he had two men on him & they were not three yards out at eight my hero big Joe or the Latch may have scored them - but they were given to a no 9 who is not in goalscoring form - they would have been great goals two men on him ...
