Booing him going off when, when it was clearly an issue with his face, was a particular lowlight of my Everton supporting years.

Think I need a break from the aways for a bit, don’t know where they’ve came from but the increase in idiots at the game is ridiculous.

There is one thing having a go in a forum as they wont see it and another abusing the player at the game or via social media.

Who says they won't see it?

And even if they don't, constantly posting abuse at worst or completely unfair criticism at best stokes the fires that leads to individuals thinking it's reasonable to give them lad stick like today.

I understand the frustration but don't direct it at Dom, direct at the hierarchy of the club. They are the ones truly responsible.

He broke his face putting it in a dangerous position to try and get on the end of a cross yet we’ve heard non stop rubbish about how he cares more about modelling, is missing because he broke a nail etc.

Sick of this abuse he’s getting when he clearly cares far more than we deserve

What I would say is that there is a huge amount of discontent among our fan base because we are consistently served up shockingly bad performances. It's one of the worst spells in our history - we can't just expect people to clap along.

I think it's obvious that the club and the players resent this criticism as they believe they are doing everything they can. A big problem is akso that those who are on the pay roll don't see us as being a big club anymore yet there are still plenty of fans who do. Until those fans realise what we've become the criticism is going to be vitrol and the players are going to feel like they are being unfairly targeted.

Don’t they train from like 10 til 3 and then go home and play video games and rest? I’d be checking out what the fans think especially if I’m vain and want everyone to like me so I can keep progressing my career.

Lots of them are on Twitter which is an absolute cesspool of humanity so I’m sure they get sent all kinds of crap every day

I know fans are frustrated with Dominic Calvert-Lewin going off injured again, but it's not like he broke down running for a through ball with no one else around him. The lad was smashed in the face when he put in a fully committed challenge. Not sure what booing was supposed to achieve, to be honest. Hopefully, he will be fit enough to play in our next game.
