The service he got today from HOOF Ball Dyche tactics - we could have robbed 3 points - but to get not one corner at home is shocking ....
every team needs an engine room in midfield - we have a poor one ATM ....

Hey i'm a DCL fan. I was enjoying his centre forward play under Ancelotti. But that was then.

Now he's in an awful team (that's not a direct attack and criticism of the players we can play sometimes we are far better than we currently show) that's a criticism of the manager, much like you point out it's his tactics. 100%.

However that doesn't absolve DCL for having a poor game. You seem to be quite defensive about being critical of DCL - players can have a poor game even if you're their biggest fan. My criticism is and always will be the dinosaur manager that we have. The football is anti-football. I'm surprised the players don't down tools.

Beattie went a season with one goal & that was a pen - 6 million, & down at Crewe we could have signed a certain Dean Ashton for 1 million - plus Kevin Phillips was the better goalscorer at Southampton that made Beattie look better than he was - Yakubu & Lakaku were far better, but look at the service of midfield players we had back then - & overlapping fullbacks too - they would struggle in their pomp with Dyche ball TBH ....

What's he supposed to do with no service ? Any no 9 will look poor in our set-up - every week he is targeted as he won't sign a contract - I don't blame him as i stated if he missed a few sitters I would not defend him at all

Why give Beto a hard time then if any 9 would struggle in our team. Why does only this bloke make you need to get all shirty if posters say he's not the greatest? He has had many chances this season and squandered them.

Squandered chances when ? He could & should have won us a pen - but Gana should have scored that open goal he missed - I am confident if we had a pen DCL would have scored it - Beto failed to even score from a pen when he played - I have seen better no 9s at semi pro level in my time than Beto - he has announced he off to the African nations now going back on his promise to stay with us - again he would struggle more with our style of football as like DCL he needs support alongside him .... I have seen Ollie Watkins this season miss sitters this season - that's a good thing IMO as at least his side create goal scoring opportunities which leads him to bag goals eventually - in our set-up he would struggle ....

Our Manager has to take the responsibility for most things .....

Every chance he misses you come up with a reason why he missed it. Last week when it was easier to poke it home than do a well timed bunny leap over it you said it was hit too hard for him....bless🤣 Point i made was if no 9 could play in our team why do you vilify Beto at every chance? I honestly don't get your reasoning for it.

You need to stop plucking olly watkins out of the air when talking about calvert lewin. His stats are better on every level. And before you compare the sides. His stats were far better when Villa were sitting down near the foot of the table under Gerrard.
Calvert lewin is about good enough for Everton down in the bottom half of the prem.
Utterly ridiculous to keep going on he's a top striker in a poor side. He's an average striker in a poor side.
He was up for grabs all summer. No top sides were interested.
Give you your due though joey. You do more PR for him than his paid agent.
 
Whether we like it or not he’s at his level with us, he’d be affective for a better team but only as an impact player, not a cat in hells chance he’d be a no9 for anyone in the top six,
It’s a sad reflection on us that he’s streets ahead of his current competition at the club.

We had 12 touches in their box yesterday in 90 minutes .... As for Beto so loyal - he has changed his mind & is off to the African nations cup - no loyalty there ,,,,

You're just in with the vindictive DCL posters - blame him in a very poor team, which I feel is the slowest in the prem - hence we hoof the ball ..... any forward needs service - & I have seen Ollie Watkins this season miss chances, but the way Villa play he has every chance of scoring - that is why I made that point ....

We create very little - 12 touches in 90 minutes in the opponent's box at home plus no corners gained says it all - we are where we are as we are badly managed ....

Not actually a hell of an amount of loyality from your mate either. Any other side would have binned him off ages ago. Sadly no takers so he walks on a free, unless Freidkin pushes him out for whatever he can get in January, which i'd assume he will try to.

I think I did see one game from DCL where he did not look bothered - but since then he puts a thankless effort in as a sole striker ... even the goal offside, DCL did well in the build up for that - to pick one man out of that inept performance yesterday is the same old on this thread sorry to say ....
