2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

DCL is just weak and lacks aggression and desire. Gets muscled out of it on a regular basis and when did you last see him sliding in on the end of a ball fizzed across the area. Admittedly we don't see many, but when we do he needs to be there to knock it in. We never see him 1st to those balls. No aggression. No desire.
Cause when he does it fans boo him when get comes away with a fractured cheekbone

Not actually a hell of an amount of loyality from your mate either. Any other side would have binned him off ages ago. Sadly no takers so he walks on a free, unless Freidkin pushes him out for whatever he can get in January, which i'd assume he will try to.
If he does go - & we don't improve our engine room or get a decent manager - absolutely nothing will change - we have made a couple of good signings, but it needed more than that - everyone knew we needed 2 new fullbacks ... a playmaker etc - maybe a no 9 considering DCL would not sign his contract - 5pts out of 18 says a lot, & It's not down to DCL that's my point ..... HOOF BALL

He will be off on January..model professional and works hard with little support

But after the abuse he's had since the cheek injury. He won't sign a new contract

Weird how fans think they are important in decisions players make. Players are motivated by money first and then silverware/success a distant second. Fans don’t come into it.

Sitting in the gods it's very noticeable how he doesn't put enough effort in and struggles to win challenges. Doesn't put a sprint in to close down which may be due to his injury issues? Or is it Dyche tactics?

Beto would have been a much better option yesterday.

Don’t think that’s wholly true

Club A offers you X in wages and you’ve no reason to believe the fans would treat you badly

Club B also offers you X with a new contract but some of the fans give you a fair bit of abuse over a long period of time

Neither club is a particularly good option for silverware

I don’t think it’s weird to think the experience with fans comes into play?

Seems logical to me

Of course if the money is good enough most players will put up with whatever, but I don’t think it’s true to say the experience on matchday with your own fans never plays a part

Don is not to blame for the awful Everton Dyche tactics and the type of service he gets. But that should not disguise that he is overrated anyway. He probably would struggle to get in any other PL side.

I think both is true, he misses a lot, he's not used right.

For example comparing to Chris Wood, that got 4 goals in a low scoring mainly defensive playing Nuno squad again, with 12 shots taken in total.

But they don't cut it for a top 8 squad, there are too many flaws at both.
