2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

It's a genuine shame because he had a great game if you remove the one on ones. I do think deep down he knows this is his level, he'd be dropped instantly if he was playing for Chelsea or Newcastle, he only gets a game every week here because Beto is a donkey.
100% this.

Some folk won't see that though.

He should have scored two today someone needs to coach him on one on one's- the rest of the game today he led the line very well ,but has to score those chances those goals would have justified a 4- 0 away win - he needs a goal - the rest of his game as a lone striker is very good ...

He's a centre forward not a striker. His role, is, I agree to score goals but he does a lot more in this Dyche side than just that. If he had service like he used to get under Ancelotti then he'd be much more prolific but that's not our style. He should have had 2 today but that's football.Move on, he's doing OK.
He's not doing ok though is he? This is not a one off. He's blowing chances now every week. Any big prem striker can do the hold up work he's praised for. Beto surely now must get the run he's never had.

His overall game is very good, apart from his inability to score in a one on one situation- a major failing in a centre forward. At 27 he's unlikely to improve.

Just a shame the most important part of his role is the part he’s the worst at.

There's no service argument today. He had plenty of chances and blew them all. Even at the end he had a header that was miles away and his head is usually his best goal chance. His all round game was good again today but he's not a goalscorer and never will be. He just doesn't have it in him.
