Sorry, but I have to disagree. It’s a myth that he “wins a header most others wouldn’t”. He mistimes his jump so many times it’s bordering on ridiculous. He put a header 10 yards wide on Saturday, which in truth is fairly difficult to do. He scored a fine header in the derby last year but he rarely directs a header down to a team-mate. It sounds like I’m a hater but I just see what I see week in week out at the game and it frustrates the hell out of me. In this Dyche system Chris Wood would fare much better and most think he’s a donkey.

There was a statistic going around a while back showing how many headers he won in the PL and it was a lot both in attack and defence. What comes of those headers is a different issue.

I like Chris Wood, but if DCL had the same game he did yesterday, there would be a load of people criticising him for the number of chances he missed, I don't think there is much between the two players.

Dcl could miss his usual 5 sitters a game . But if he scored 1 of them and won us more games , his deficiencies would be a lot more tolerated .

I’m in agreement, I just think if we upgraded from DCL to Woods, it wouldn’t have the massive impact that some might think as there isn’t too much difference in them. Although, as I said before I do like Woods as a player, he’s a handful and seems a bit more consistent than DCL.

No need, I very much doubt any new manager is going to want too play target man style of football. I think we look for a more rounded forward in the summer with more to their game.

Lots of top strikers miss loads of chances, but their conversion rate is higher. I dont think its really true that people like Kane, Lewandowski and Harland 'only need 1 chance and they always take it' - even they miss loads, its just that their teams create more than us, and they do at least put away 1 in 4,.. we need DCL to at least put away a chance once in a while! hope he gets better, definitely need the 2020 version

I don’t think this is true but I get what you’re saying.

Either way, I’m not sure letting DCL leave on a free and buying a 33 years old Chris Wood in the summer is what we need.

We defo need someone who can score more goals, unfortunately, I don’t think it’s Beto or Chermiti.

It's unfortunate as his hold up play and movement have been exceptional just the lack of clinical precision at the goal has been underwhelming
