2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I've got sympathy for him as he does have a thankless task in games like yesterday. But he just isn't giving enough.

The thing that keeps us coming back are games like say Liverpool last season, where he was genuinely unplayable and dominated defenders. But we just don't get enough of those games.

Think when he eventually goes, the change will be best for both parties.

Absolutely no idea what he does well
Did Broja score? In Dyches set up as a lone forward it is very difficult it would be better to move DCL on in the January window now - Beto is also allegedly being sold too - we are after a top grade striker, but who ever has to play the Hoof Ball roll they will struggle - Harrison needs to go also 5 clear cut chances missed since the Wolves game ....

Would be interesting if Broja had some of big Dom's minutes how he'd get on. Rather than continuing to do the same thing over and over and expect it to change.

The second Broja scores a goal in 5% of the game time Dom has had there are going to be heads rolling off shoulders all over this thread.

Don't know why it is so hard for some folk to just say "2 goals at Christmas is a pretty crap striker, yeah"

Dom ultimately saved us from relegation. Put some respect on that mans name.
Definitely an argument to be made that we never would have struggled as much if he could be relied on to score more than 4 goals a season.

Don't really like the idea that a single goal saved the season. Would it be fair to chase him over a single miss costing the season if we had gone down by a point instead of staying up by one? I'm sure there's loads of those.

Either way for me, if we're down in the relegation zone then its likely because our striker is as terrible at footy as the rest of the team.

No

A fine evening of footy under the lights at Goodson am I right goat.
As a modern Everton fan, its up there Bry, moments you can look back on in your final days and nod and say "yeah, that was a good day", alongside that famous victory against the red horde when Dom, again, secured us a vital victory and gave this fanbase something to cheer.

But he wears frocks or something, so we simply must drive him out and chant the name of some Portuguese bum who would struggle playing Sunday League.

Bella ciao Dom, bella ciao.
