2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

DCL has & looks more used to it - that's all - his confidence is low, & needs pastures new his injuries have taken their toll IMO - he has a job to even hit the target now - as chances are of a premium with our play ..... this transfer window is so important new faces 7 deadwood 4-5 to get rid of because of PSR etc ...
Yes def he has to move on. I'd sell Beto too and hope Broja and Chermiti get us thru to end of season (with Keane too, if needs must). Roll the dice to strengthen other areas.

That is bloody risky.
Reckon it's a case of which risk to take, somewhere has to give, it's not just a case of building given the position we're in.
And doing nothing, imo sees a greater chance of relegation.
We're getting nothing from the 9 at the moment other than a first line of defence/press. 'Sacrificing' DCL and Beto in exchange for an upgrade on Harrison or an overlapping fullback may give a better return on the 9s that are left.

Seriously mate whose going to buy Chermiti for a half decent fee? we got him for potential, he's hardly played, hardly scored (If at all) the only potential he's shown is he's potentially shoite.

What a shame we never got hold of Delap. Has scored more than our entire forward line. But its his attitude i love. Punches elbows and just an all round pain in the arse to defenders. Jake obrien money he cost.
Everton fans would have loved him as a number 9.

DCL will only be sold in this window if we get a bid that tempts us to sell. I would guess about 10m, otherwise we will keep him until the summer.
Equally it needs to be from a club that tempts DCL as he can leave for nothing in a few short months.
I think dropping him for Broja may have been a message that he is not in complete control at this point.
He will not be happy to sit on the bench for half a season.
I think the expectation on Broja is unreasonable given that he was out for so long and will only get better after every game.

No I'm not in favour of replacing them, I'm not sure why you would assume that.

Good strikers are hard to come by.

If we sell 2 strikers we can’t not be bringing 1 in.

I would advocate and have been advocating to do the same as @Blue Roo is suggesting.

Sell Beto & DCL may leave us with only 2 CFs in Broja & Chermiti but, depending on who comes in...it could greatly benefit us in other areas.

If selling those two brought in Cherki & Diarra then all of a sudden we have Ndiaye--Diarra--Cherki as our attacking midfielders.

Any extra funds we may be able to use could be spent on Mikautadze.

Of course, we'd be light at left back, but Cherli and Diarra add a different dimension.
