2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Irrespective of whether he’s signed a contract or not, all the barely attend a game internet idiots demanding we sell him to replace him with the Portuguese Brett Angell is peak Everton
Not as bad as super bloos who go the game, watch him stroll around put next to np effort in and claim he's the only striker in the world we could have.

He's a disgrace to the shirt

Brentford have a higher ceiling and a better manager than us
They are definitely a competently run club doing really well given the size of their fanbase and local competition, with a horrendously annoying but good manager. But if they were to build themselves a new ground (to replace their 17,250 capacity one), it would be about the size of the one we are about to flatten. With modern spending restrictions, they are already pressing against their ceiling (which is probably unfair).

Although Dom will have retired by the time we get close to our ceiling

His time here has run its course, the relationship has turned sour. I also wouldn’t want to be the lone striker for Everton with the state of the “creativity” behind him. Yes he misses chances but he gets very little service.

Honestly can’t see who comes in for him though. Think we’d do well to get more than £15m for him at this stage.

Yea, it's a fairly short list of teams that would go for Dom. Can't see many top half sides willing to take a risk on an injury prone striker who has a poor goal return and a high wage demand. Would have said Bournemouth if they hadn't just bought that Brazilian lad. Forest possibly, or Brentford if Toney goes.

They finished below us despite everything

Officially asked to leave according to Bobble.
At least that gives clarity.

Although the club should have looked to complete a sale 6 weeks ago when the contract went unsigned.

I dont blame him either. The timing makes sense. He didn't play well last year (April aside) and getting a fee is important for the club.

Need Thelwell now to get a good deal and find a good replacement. 11 days to go.

the fact he started every pre-season game and the first game of the season shows how utterly terribly ran we are.

it's been known for ages he wanted out, so why base our pre-season and first game on him starting???? shambles

also he;s absolutely crap and can't wait to watch him stink out the next joke club who pays this bum money

Thomas Frank showed Everton how you should handle a contract situation like this.

Its just poor decision making by the club. It's been clear for weeks a sale was the sensible decision. Now we are in late August and running out of time.
