2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

He'll probably end up in Serie A or French league on less wages than we probably offered him at the start of the season

I'm happy the club didn't give into his demands. Ridiculous that he's going to leave on a free but better that than persisting with him for the next 3 years as our top striker. At least now we'll be forced to act properly in this position.

I don’t know how he’s still not worked out when to jump to win a header from a goal kick. Never seen a striker who can be so good in the air mistime goalkicks so comically so often.
Not a natural footballer. An athletic specimin who'd suit being in "Team GB" more. Maybe a pole vaulter or something. Certainly nothing involving a ball👍

I am probably going to be slated for this, but I thought he played well tonight, held the ball up well caused Mings problems with pace, could have had a couple of goals, yes should have done better with that one at the end.

He is obviously low on confidence, but like it or lump it at present he is the best striker we have at the club, so if the fans get on his back, that is certainly not going to help going into the remaining games.

Anyone who say he didn't put the effort into tonight need to stay off the ale

And what, pray tell, would make him get back on confidence? Because scoring has never ever ever ever ever been his strong suit bar 1/3 season with Ancelotti. He's probably the worst actual striker you could want. He doesn't EVER make anything out of nothing. He has to have it on a plate to figure out how to do anything and he'll still balls it up 7/10 times. He's absolutely woeful.

Thing is he had started that season under the FSW in form 3 in 3, with fans in the ground, butterfly effect and all but had the injury not happened he probably would have hit double again

2 of those goals were pens. He also fluffed a one on one at Leeds to win the game. He’s crap, he’s always been crap, he can’t strike the ball properly, he had a fluke purple patch that he’s never replicated. The end.

Premier league strikers finish that chance lindstrom set up well at the end
Elite finishers get at least one from the ball Mykolenko put for him to chest on that he dragged wide or the one he brought down and trickled past the keeper easily cleared off the line

Lukaku when he was here might even have scored all three

He scored in back to back games earlier this season and has since gone 16 games without a goal, so why wasn’t his confidence up after the two goals?
