I never said his goals under not-good managers don't count, so I'm not sure where you've got that from. The numbers show that Carlo aside he's never been a prolific striker. Plenty of younger players have scored more goals than him as have plenty of older ones.He was a youngster before those seasons really.
I'm not sure why goals don't count under a good manager? Do all the goalscorers at Manchester United not count under Alex Ferguson too? I'm not sure kn that logic.
Whichever way you slice it, a striker who averages about 6 goals a season simply is not going to fire us up the league. To me it's illogical to cling on to striker that misses as many chances as he does, goes on as many non-scoring runs like he does, and hasn't put up a good goal return in five years.
