The loss is the fee we expected if he'd scored even a few more goals this season.

What fee? He's out of contract in JuneThe loss is the fee we expected if he'd scored even a few more goals this season.
Not having thatI’m telling you what, I bet you he wishes he had signed a contract with us now. He will now go into the summer without a club and probably any team unwilling to give him the money he wants due to him being injury prone.
This is why we have watched him labour about for ages. He has clearly had his mind on leaving in Jan. Moyes has come in and expected more of him. Within 3 games he is out for the season. I think it shows alot about him.
Personally I can't blame him for wanting to leave. The abuse he has had off a minority at times has been vile. Why would he want to keep playing for a club where certain fans actually blame him for being injured. I'm sure no-one is more disappointed than the player himself when he gets injured and it's a shame he won't stay with us for the majority of fans who support him and appreciate the efforts he has given to the club. Not having that
He made no secret of wanting to move on at the end of his contract, like any one of us is entitled to do in our jobs.
He looked up for it under Moyes for the run in, whether for pride or shop window or whatever and unfortunately got injured. It says nothing about him other than he was unlucky to get injured

I`m not sure fans are blaming him for being injured. There`s certainly a lot of folks frustrated that he can go 10 or 15+ games without scoring. When he gets injured there`s also a lot of frustration that the club are still banking on DCL leading the line when fit. The way modern football works now when a player goes into the last 12 months of their contract we all know that they are looking elsewhere for a new club, so that would, for some folks, make it more frustrating to be watching a low scoring center forward, with a poor recent injury record who wants to play somewhere else.Personally I can't blame him for wanting to leave. In the January transfer window. What fee? He's out of contract in June
I doubt we were ever getting rid of Lewin in JanIn the January transfer window.
We'll never know now. Someone could still come in with a cheeky low bid, but probably not.I doubt we were ever getting rid of Lewin in Jan
He hasn’t ran about for months mate. He ran about the other day and is now injured all season. Not having that

Only reason people rated him, was because alternative was Maupay. He isn't actually that good, that miss against Villa proved it. DCL is nowhere near as good as Lukaku was. I've said on here I wouldn't rate DCL as any better than Beckford. He had good period other than under Carlo, I think he gets abuse. But no worse than Keane or certain other players.Personally I can't blame him for wanting to leave. The abuse he has had off a minority at times has been vile.
