2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

He gets no service because he’s incapable of making a decent run and has zero positional sense. No goals in what, 21 games? That’s a disgrace and can’t be put down to “no service”. The managers tactics don’t help him, but he makes no chances for himself either.
In fact he had enough chances to score 3-5 goals during that games, and that is a modest expectation with all he missed.

Is Beto's hold up play really much worse than his? At least Beto has a burst of pace and strength and is a more convincing finisher when it falls right for him - look at the desire in his finishes from Udinese. I feel there's a much higher chance of Beto finding form than Dominic Calvert-Zoolander

DCL does have a burst of pace though, or did?, not sure if it’s his injuries or he doesn’t want to in case he gets injured again.

It’s a horror scenario all round.

His goal scoring record is questionable, he’s stinking the gaff out (not the only one btw). If we don’t play him we will get a lower selling price, if we keep playing him we’ll keep struggling.

Wish he’d just come out and say what he wants to do. If he wants to leave on a free he’s of course allowed to do so, but really everyone has a right to be annoyed at him.

Blue tinted specs on were in a bad way right now, he’s not as good as people think and if we could afford to we would have got another striker by now.

I like him, think he has in the past given his all, and don’t have a huge issue with his contract stance. It hurts the club, but he is honouring his side of the contract, as is the club 🤷‍♂️

But staying or not, Beto needs to start now for a run of games, and actually set the team up to play with Beto not Dom, something that has never ever been done.

If Dom can’t regain a first team spot over Beto and Chermiti based on form alone rather than reputation, then he has ZERO chance of a big club with a big contract coming in for him in Jan or next summer. No chance at all. And that is the natural way of things.
