2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Think we've seen and had the best of DCL. Sure, he may come back into his own with another club, different style of play, better service which he isn't getting here currently but his injury record over the past two seasons doesn't fill me with confidence (although the Villa facial injury was outside his control and came about through his courage in attacking the ball). Reckon his most successful period was playing alongside Richy.
Think he played 39 times in all comps last season. His injury issues were due to managers rushing him back. As bad as I think Dyche is, he seems to manage injuries fairly well.

Hoping new ownership will mean Dom signs.
Hope if he does sign he might stop missing chances like the one he had at Villa when put straight through on goal. A lot of folks defending his poor goal return seem to point to the poor service he gets, but when he gets put through on goal like that and fails to even get a shot on goal before the defender clears it makes you wonder if he had better service would he miss even more gift wrapped chances to score.
I`d think the best thing for the club would be for him to leave in January and for to let some else have a go up front.

Ditto, love DCL. Would be gutted if he left but even more if he goes for free. Sign Dom, pleeeease!!!
I love Dom too, but if he does end up leaving, I think a fit Chermiti paired with Ndiaye up front will help us get over it.

I’m not trying to get anyone to believe me to be honest mate, that’s irrelevant to me, was just sharing with Joey who’s a good blue, who knows me long enough.
Would believe it tbh manager rates him and the club, was rumours the club did offer him a decent contract. Still think he will most likely leave because just think he wants a change, but have more of a chance now depending how much the owners want to keep him

He definitely wasn’t signing in the summer mate, he had a cob on that we waited so long to offer him a deal - we did it after the season ended and then that is was 3years.

He will do what he thinks is best for him, he will get a good deal somewhere in the summer with no fee - maybe even as much as he was asking at Newcastle, but he won’t thrive away from here and the deal will only last a couple of years on whatever deal he gets, before he’s shunted off and whatever club he signs for recovers their cost.

Here is the pinnacle for him profile wise in my honest opinion.

Agree with you only real way i see it is with TFG do want to keep him is the only way now and sell the club to him again. More confident that we could replace him in the summer now with the takeover

Think it always made financial sense to offer him a new deal mate, if he signs well and good, if he doesn’t we move on - if he does or doesn’t - then I think we bring someone else in anyway.

Can see Beto going to.

Yeah only chance for beto is a new manager really but still be shocked if he will be happy if dyche is here the season. Playing 2nd dcl just getting not many minutes, then taking a chance on a new manager. Can see us getting money back from a team in italy. Plus still hope towards then end of the season we can see chermitti and could be talking about how good has finished the season

Strangle Beto will be in the second last year of his contract in the summer mate, prime time for a sell, unless he really impact between then and now - which looks unlikely.

Chermiti is interesting always felt he’s a finisher.

Everyone seems to have already written Broja off accept for me, convinced there is a quality player there and will surprise a few.

Obviously I want him to stay and hopefully the new ownership/Stadium shine a new light on his mindset, but if that possibility is already 'Dead in the Water' maybe he fancies a trip abroad cos Abraham will be back at Roma come end of season and we've now got the right people that could make that deal happen.

Tho hopefully he will already of signed his new shiny contract by then...
