He was genuinely terrible today at everything but i don't put the blame on him for it.

Last time he played that badly he was also thrown on the left wing and looked just as much like Bambi as he did today.

His finishing worries me still il admit that and i still stick to he should have been sent out on loan otherwise we had a terrible window, that's come true but DCL has improved massively in the last 6 months. I just worry that growth will slow with more frustration at missed chances that he has to score at this level and poor performances in positions he shouldn't be near because of a clueless manager.

I thought he did ok out of position today...nothing special but nothing bad, the chances at the end came from his persistence...

Needs to be played up front though with a partner.

Plays hard but does he have a goal scorers touch. End product looks limited.

He works hard but is wasted out wide. His finishing isn’t clinical enough but his hold up play is good.

Would he still be judged so much if he was a bit part player considering his age and lack of experience ?

It's not his fault the club was such a shambles that he automatically became a first 11 player, and it's not his fault he starts ahead of natural wide players

I think DCL is very talented yet RAW at the same time. I'd rather not see his confidence go into the toilet as he can be a scapegoat at times under Koeman.

Once we knew we had no strikers coming in, and while Niasse was still carrying his stuff round in carrier bags we should have played this kid week in week out at Centre forward.

He is the best centre forward at the club so play him there, hold up better than the rest, wins more headers than the rest. He would stretch defenders and with Rooney behind he would get decent balls to run on to.

How many Prem appearances now, for one tap in goal that I would have scored? I know he's played out wide, but still as an 'attacker'.

Yeah. He's in a pretty crap situation tbh. Davies is no longer in the team so the spotlight is on him.

Without DCL Rooney wouldn't of scored a league goal this season. 2 direct assists and a penalty won today. Him, Vlasic, Keane and Pivkford only positives at the moment.

Should be on loan in the Championship yet he's our go to man in attack. Tells you all you need to know about our troubles.

He has to fit Rooney and Sigurdsson in. Unfortunately that means DCL will be wide if Koeman persists with two holding midfielders and just one striker. Maybe putting Rooney next to Gana is an option that'll allow DCL to play up front.
