Why do you think he's not?I agree with the sentiment, but is Calvert Lewin really a player with potential.

Everyone in the England and Everton coaching staff seem to think so. But they're probably all wrong.I agree with the sentiment, but is Calvert Lewin really a player with potential.
Performances for us suggest the premiership is above his level. Why do you think he's not?
He is far from a finished product, but com'on ppls. I'd say his combination of size, pace and ability in the air is very promising for a young player such as himself. He is pretty decent on either foot as well... he needs to bring composure to his game, but he will get that in time. Like our other youngsters that yall love to destroy, give him a bit of time ffs.
Yeah, cuz he's 20 and will definitely not reach a higher level, as that's him finished forever.Performances for us suggest the premiership is above his level.
What separates him for me is his potential. He is raw af, but I could see him working on the technical aspects of his game and adding a bit of bulk in the summer. This is what will make or break him- how badly does he want to improve? I can't think of many his age with his physical ability tbhNo mate. He hasn't scored 35 goals in 16 games yet. He's awful.
Of course you are right. I see loads of promise in this kid. Hope he makes it big...with us obviously.

Very good header at the weekend but he needs to focus on scoring goals. The rest will come but he needs to get into the box. What separates him for me is his potential. Good post. I think positionally and tactically, he is very poor as of right now. Compare him to Oumar, and they are miles apart. Oumar is constantly making himself a nuisance and making dangerous runs. DCL hangs on the last man frequently and ends up in a physical battle that he usually loses. He needs to become more aware of situations in game, and like you said, he needs to shoot the damn ball more often. He has plenty to work on yet loads of potential.Very good header at the weekend but he needs to focus on scoring goals. The rest will come but he needs to get into the box.
Plus I'm not sure I can even remember him having a shot. A load of headers but no shots. Does he have a decent shot? If so then why isn't he using it. Strikers need to be selfish to score goals.
Was thinking about this last night. I'd say about 40%. Would be higher if England had a manager that had any sense though.
just ignore the dullards.Whenever I hear people slagging dcl off I think about Harry redknapp and the interview he did saying lampard was going right to the top. I’m prepared to risk the vault and say this lad is going to be a top top player. He has all the natural physical attributes and if you look at the improvement in him since he joined and how much stronger he is he is unrecognisable. Yes his goal scoring record is poor currently but it’s not like we are creating bucket loads of chances for him. If he had been played as part of a front two with actual wingers playing as well I think he’d have scored 2-3 more.
He is far from a finished product, but com'on ppls. I'd say his combination of size, pace and ability in the air is very promising/unique for a young player such as himself. He is pretty decent on either foot as well... he just needs to bring composure to his game, but he will get that in time.
