Said it on another reply elsewhere but I haven't got a clue. Bidding for costa and Cavani allegedly suggests ambition and money but then we have ended up with no-one so suggests crap transfer committee. Combined with allardyce in charge, just can't predict who we will go for.
A good guess would be benteke but then he has been out of form horribly so far so would be a risk himself

DCL starting to look more like a link-man (pseudo striker). He is a nuisance and knows how to play flicks, win headers and hit crosses.

brilliant first half performance, if he can start adding goals i'd have no problem with him playing week in week out.
I will believe what all the professionals say about this kid. He's played the whole season up front, on his own, when we've been very poor. He's never complained, never given up, played his part, scored goals, played for the team. I have no idea what you are watching sir but it isn't with open eyes.

He needs to learn a few more moves with the ball at his feet. He used to turn defenders and catch them on their heels, but he always gets caught and dealt with now. Might need to throw in a fake before he attempts to jet past them like he used to.

Yes he's learning but I like that he never loses focus or gets frustrated. That bodes well for his temperament

His hold up play was very good tonight, he works hard and he's made telling contributions in recent games. Still lacking in goal threat though. I don't know if that'll ever come as he doesn't seem an instinctive finisher.
If it's something he can develop he'll be a huge player over the coming seasons. If not, he'll lose his place to someone bought in and play from the bench or move on I think.

He's doing what he can. I've been a huge critic but in fairness it's not his fault that he's been the fall guy who's had to replace Lukaku. Hopefully we can sign a quality forward in January and take the pressure off him.
I’ll just keep on saying it, this kid has the potential to be a proper center forward. The goals will come, his hold up play and work rate already put his predecessor to shame.
