Chances are very slim he becomes a great finisher. Players like Kane do not come around very often in this country. Chances of England producing 2 strikers within a short period of time who can slot 30 goals a season are close to zero. The odds are vastly stacked in favour him not becoming a great finisher because the vast majority of players who can't slot at 20 can't slot at 30.

Lets hope he proves me wrong but lets be honest, hope is all it is... there are no signs so far of him suddenly becoming an amazing finisher.

If managed correctly I think we have a player that could certainly become great, maybe not world class but who cares as long as he is wearing our shirt.

Think people are just pointing out that he is still raw and still a good bit away from a finished article. He is not a great finisher and still needs to offer more. He will improve given patience and time but currently we need someone with a bit more about him. I still believe a season in the Championship will help him greatly.

Normally I'd agree with you. But we're be played 30 first team matches already this season. He's played in most of them, the experience he's got will be invaluable. Playing with Rooney won't have done him any harm. His hold up play has been decent. No he hasn't started scoring yet but I have a feeling that will come as we improve the service into the box. We haven't exactly been putting loads of crosses into the box. Maybe when Baines is back?
