I'm not comparing DCL to Harry Kane, I'm merely suggesting you look beyond purely the goal tally and look at his overall contribution. It's hard for a 20 year old striker in this league. Even more so when he spends the game in another postcode to an insipid midfield who soil themselves when faced with a forward pass.

He's improved massively from last season. Give him time and he will be good. Not top class but far from terrible.

He's a 20-year-old kid playing in the Prem, thrown in at the deep end and is still only really beginning his career.

To write him off now is just being dead weird. In comparison, Kane had gone through 4 loans and had made more than (I can't be arsed doing the maths) 50 appearances - DCL's made barely just half of that this season alone.

He’s strong, quick, works hard has very good hold up play for his age. He’ll have a career in the premiership. If he kicks on he could be an excellent player, if he doesn’t improve much he’ll just be a decent player.

Young striker in his first full season in the PL. Playing in a team in complete dissarray at times with no distinct tactics and barely any attacking ideas. Been isolated on his own up top for most of the season, yet has shown a real desire and maturity.

8 goals and 6 assists in all competitions, including goals against Chelsea and Arsenal, with assists at City and Liverpool.

He's not the complete package yet, but I genuinely think with the right manager and players around him he'll get there.
