DCL works hard and wins a lot of flick ons but a striker's job is to score. He's 21 now and still fails to show the slightest aptitude for finishing. I'm not sure you can develop that if it's not there instinctively. No other team in the Premiership would give him a run of games as striker as he is now. I'm not certain many in the Championship would as his conversion rate to chances is incredibly poor. I hope he works his socks off at finishing practice as he's going no where if he doesn't drastically improve in that.
 
He's not cack. He works hard, has pace and athleticism, is decent in the air and will chase lost causes for you all day.
Just doesn't have a striker's natural instincts and makes poor choices at the most important times.
If he improves for 5 years could be like someone like Son at Spurs.
I.E Very good player who always helps the team but doesn't score as many goals as he should.

Hasn't son scored about 20 goals already this season

Usual guff from English commentators who won't have a bad word said against an english footballer until they look decent... Then they pull them to pieces.

Calvert Lewin doesn't look like he will ever be decent, though.
 

Sign another striker and send this lad on loan to The Championship next season. Tosun has scored same amount in last 3 games than DCL has in over a year of regular starts (Prem). That’s the difference between a proper striker and a kid learning the ropes.
We can’t afford another season of babysitting him.
