Send him back to Sheffield United next season on loan. He's way out of his depth in this league and isn't going to improve in rare cameos off the bench in a terrible Everton side. He looks like a decent guy with a good attitude, but that's nowhere near enough to nail a place in our squad. Niasse is head and shoulders above him. Keep Oumar and Jenk, get another decent striker in and ship DCL out for a year or two.

These comparisons to Harry Kane are a bit silly. Kane is one one the best finishers the Premiership has ever seen. Calvert Lewin’s finishing is slightly better than Hibbert’s.

Clearly because they saw talent and promise. But to say Kane would obviously become a 30 goal a season striker when he was 20 just isn’t true. He was a decent championship player at that age.

In terms of premier league experience and goals, Calvert-Lewin has done more now than Kane had at his age. I’m not saying Calvert-Lewin will ever be that good. But to get shut of him because he’s not a goal machine right now would be stupid.

He's not cack. He works hard, has pace and athleticism, is decent in the air and will chase lost causes for you all day.
Just doesn't have a striker's natural instincts and makes poor choices at the most important times.
If he improves for 5 years could be like someone like Son at Spurs.
I.E Very good player who always helps the team but doesn't score as many goals as he should.

I've always liked DCL.

Dont get the hate for him either. He will benefit from having tosun around. To be asked to be the main striker for us this season would have been tough for anyone... Let alone someone so young.

He wins loads of headers. Just needs to have someone near him...
