Fans aren't very patient with these young lads anymore are they, you either hit the ground running or gtfo of dodge these days, I begin to wonder if modern society has made football fans jealous because these kids are earning a huge wage.
The constant slating of youngsters is quite unnecessary, let them develop before fully judging. Everyone is a super scout these days. Unfortunately there isn't one single academy in the world or one single youth team in the world full of Messi and Ronaldos or Rooneys(probably a better example).
I don't know how anyone can hand on heart say that DCL hasn't done a decent job asked of him in a team that went matches, actual matches in a row without having a shot on goal or creating any chances. He's been over utilised in a struggling squad, I'd love to know what people expect his stats to be?

No mate, he made his chances by moving off the ball, running into space and allowing his team mate to pass to him. Tried an audacious chip to beat the keeper and the second one shot acoss goal that was just wide. Excellent movement imo and was a tad unlucky.

DCL has just turned 21. He’s been 20 for almost the whole of this season.
His stats for EPL, FA Cup, EFL cup and Europa league are p41, 8goals, 6assists. Not bad for a young lad. Plus he works hard and puts himself about. A lot of those games he’s had to play out wide as well.
In the 13/14 season Harry Kane was 20. His stats were p19, 4goals, 2 assists. Also not great. The next season he exploded and look at him now.
Not for a moment saying DCL will be as good a player as Kane is now, but you see how a player can improve and suddenly become a good goal scorer from one season to the next.
Maybe we need to give him a bit more time before casting him off as 2nd rate.

...when he was put through on goal on his left side I never had a feeling he’d score but more importantly, I don’t think he felt like he’d score.
I’m not sure what goes on at USM FF but he really lacks a goalscoring mentality, a belief that puts him on the front front looking for a sniff at goal. The lad is very decent in the air but is never an aerial goal threat. These aspects of his game can be improved and worked on.

Thought he could have taken that one on his left side and driven into the box further. Second was a nice shot, inches wide.
He's not got that killer instinct and his finishing isn't great BUT he was also only on the pitch for 10 mins and he got himself into the position for 2 good chances. If he learns to finish he'd bag a load I feel.
Miles better than Abraham regardless anyway IMO.
