I hope his goal isn't putting the thought into heads at that club that we needn't bring a striker in. That would be disastrous.

Defo not good enough to lead the line, this lad.
Think Koeman said after the game he still wants a striker

With the number of games we will have this season, (providing we qualify for Europa League proper) we will need 3 strikers, and Rooney does not count as a striker. DCL will get the chance to play up the middle of a top 3, as that is where he is most effective. Sandro plus 1 other would see us well stocked in the striker department. WE do need a player with pace, along with Lookman and Mirallas, I would hope it id Demorial Grey.

Played well in his cameo tonight.

The lad wins headers, is energetic, and fights for every ball. One chance and bagged it too.

If anyone deserved a goal recently it was DCL. With his first opportunity too. Buzzing.

Keep it up lad.
No doubt we need another striker, but if you give this lad supply he has a cool head and a clinical finish which he gave us a glimpse of last night IMHO there is a lot more to come from this lad and he will win the doubters over all except Dave that is.

Just watched his goal again. It was a good finish but it would have been blocked if he took that long to get his shot off in the premiership. The closest defender was miles away from him, and looked really slow when chasing after him and then slowed down when he got to him instead of trying to block the shot.

Or, he was super confident he'd slot and took advantage of the time he had to set his sights, rather than panic. I hope he gets opportunities in his position this season in games like this, he isn't a wide player.

If you know the defenders name post in his thread, you've said more about him than DCL,he is a young lad working hard and making a decent fist of things and still the cry arses pile in.

Oh FFS...

Get a grip mate. He scored. He was calm and collected. He did what he was brought on to do and what no other player was capable of. And here you go spinning fantasies of what might be in a parallel universe...
