Turbo garbage

Like the United away game last season, brought on to hold the ball up and take it into the corners - managed instead to get offside at every opportunity and generally fall over.

When he was brought on we had the most unbalanced attack possible. (Arguably 4 strikers on the pitch in himself, lookman, Rooney and Mirallas)

Not fair to criticise in that scenario, as they were all sloppy by that point!

Also didn't think he was offside for one or two of the decisions, as with a few of the others. Biased though, obviously.

I think RK wanted to keep him fresh for Monday, but felt he needed to change things around in the second half.

Didn't really work out tonight, but he'll have better games in the future.

DCL needs more time and experience by playing at the end of already won games or domestic cup games.

You can see why RK likes him, he reminds me a wee bit of some of the things Andy Gray used to do at his age, though of course nowhere near Gray's ability yet. First time I saw Gray he went hunting down the CEntre Half, tackling him in the penalty area , getting the ball but wasting it. DCL is showing this kind of energy to chase and harrie defenders, winning the ball on a few occasions. He's not good enough to lead our line from the start in the PL or Europa but he has something , Youth , vitality and pace , that nobody else brings . He hasn't fully convinced me yet , but at 20 he's got time to develop further and his progress in the past 12 months has been massive so I remain hopeful.

That touch and turn late on was brilliant though.

He might become a pkayer in the future, but I think Koeman uses him more than his ability can account for. I would prefer us loaning him out for a season.

Should be out on loan never mind taking part in important games for us. He's miles off the standard needed.

I am bemused by the selective antagonism to this player. He did alright last night. He has already shown he is more than capable of first team football and I believe he will become an increasingly important player for us as this season goes on. In the near future I'm convinced this lad will be leading our line.
