I think RK wanted to keep him fresh for Monday, but felt he needed to change things around in the second half.

Didn't really work out tonight, but he'll have better games in the future.

He's still a kid, as are Davies and Lookman. They are going to be inconsistent at times, and it doesn't help being played out of position. But the only way to gain experience is to play, and this is where we need to trust the management in knowing when and where to do this.

Agreed. We all know that a central striker is next on the list and Koeman himself has made no secret of this. When he arrives DCL will not get as much game time, but I'd still expect him to be introduced from the bench to add fresh legs, and also start some of the easier cup games.

He did so last season too, on the wing non the less. Im not hating on Koeman or DCL, but I think its a little too much now. I like buying young players and making them into world beaters as much as the next guy, but not when its loosing us points.

No, simply because I never said we've lost any. I said I dont like grooming players over getting results, which is more than fair. I support Everton first and the players second.

Overall he's done as much as Sandro, Klaasen and Davies has so far so I don't see how he is the whipping boy. In weeks to come they may settle and be outstanding but so far they haven't. Rooney should not be playing CF, he should be alongside or behind a striker. His passing and vision is wasted when he is the furthest forward.
