A top striker would have taken the chance he had, which is why we still need a top striker, but the lad's movement and energy is going to cause a lot of teams problems over the next few years. If, he can be anywhere near as close to being as clinical in front of goal as Rom was, then that, coupled with his all round game, would mean he'd be a top, top player, but, no-one knows, he may never get that edge in front of goal. But, even if he ends up being a 10 to 15 goals per season forward, he's still likely to end up being bloody useful.
People have been spoilt with having Rom around for four seasons and now automatically judge any forward by his goal scoring exploits, and forget the other parts of a strikers job. But OK, that's the internet and right-hand shufflers for you.
